As citizen of the world I have traveled extensively, visiting approximately thirty different countries on eight continents. Places as diverse as Italy, Morocco, Japan, Cambodia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Tahiti , Nfld., Afghanistan were perfect for searching for “the meaning of life”. I have observed much. Having had over four different careers, farming and raising a family, I finally settled into making and studying art, the passion that wouldn’t go away. This was all along the most engaging and meaningful activity for me.

My search for meaning was both inner and outer. I sought for it in the lands and cultures that I explored as well as in the eyes and souls of all the people I met. I continue to search for clues to the deep meaning of existence here at home and as I continue to travel. Answers, senses and sensations show up in my paintings.

Studing Drawing and Painting at OCAD, graduating in 2000, gave me the tools to visually explore our world and to encounter truth and/or beauty in the making of art.

I enjoy the moment of creation both through landscape and abstract art, touching on beautiful florals from time to time. I am searching for an honesty that is somehow at one with the abundant and complex creation of the universe. My work is mainly oil with some acrylic and watercolour.
